Things I love…

Illustration

I was introduced to Procreate about a year after my daughter was born as a mess-free art activity, and have been hooked ever since. I’m inspired by playfully bright colors and the expressive, charming line-work of midcentury illustrators.

I am a member of Art Maker’s Club, and Lisa Bardot’s approach has encouraged me to explore new techniques while trusting my creative voice.

Felt

Thick, woolly, creamy goodness with seemingly endless possibilities. I design felt heirloom toys, decor, and DIY craft tutorials. I proudly collaborate with Benzie Design to source my materials, and am a former member of their Maker Team.

Teaching

Teaching is what truly makes my heart sing – even if it’s taken a backseat during these early parenting years. I’ve been teaching elementary music, choir, and private voice lessons since 2012, and I continue to be inspired by my students’ musicality, humor, and sense of wonder.

My teaching style is supportive and enthusiastic, with activities like singing, dancing, and larger-than-life events like Disco Bingo. I earned my degree magna cum laude in Music Education from the University of Washington and hold a teaching credential through the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.

A bit about me…

Hi, I’m Lucy Stewart – a multidisciplinary artist and educator based in Los Angeles. I spend most of my time raising my babies, illustrating, and designing resources for fellow creatives.

This website is my portfolio playhouse, where I like to blog, teach, and share everything I’m excited about.

Although I’m the one running the website, Mosey Creative is a partnership with my husband, Spencer Stewart, who is a Grammy-winning record producer. Learn more about our backgrounds here.
